Our Vision:
Making Goals.. Shaping Lives -- building skills for soccer and life
The mission of the Lake Norman Soccer Club is to provide a supportive environment that encourages the development of the skills and character enabling each player to fulfill their potential as an athlete, team player and leader on and off the field through competitive youth soccer.
LNSC Guiding Principles
Ø Each player fulfilling their potential is our primary focus.
Ø Character and self esteem are the measures of our success.
Ø Involved parents are our most important resource.
Ø Our organization and passion keep our vision alive.
Ø Targeted training and affirming coaches are essential for growth.
Ø Teamwork is the way we play and live.
Ø Long term benefits are more important than short term gains.
Ø Our actions reflect on our Team, our Club and our Community.
LNSC is committed to promoting the development of future soccer programs and facilities to meet the growing needs of the area.
The number of players, parents, siblings and family members exposed to the Lake Norman Soccer Club is tremendous. We currently have 325 registered players within our association with the intent to provide support to the 1000 plus children and their coaches involved in recreational soccer in Iredell county in the coming year. LNSC is a member of the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association who currently has 55,359 registered players and 8,129 registered coaches in North Carolina participating in youth soccer.
It is the goal of the club to offer a Training “Center of Excellence” providing instruction and training for youth to learn and play soccer at any level: recreation, challenge and classic. Each player has the opportunity to play at the most competitive level he/she desires. Many of the players playing at the classic level will go on to play at the high school and college level, and receive collegiate scholarships. Players and parents are informed and educated of this process by our Director of Collegiate Recruiting as a free service of our association.
In addition, it is the Club’s desire to provide a level of coaching that will enhance the playing abilities of the participants, and give them the proper environment to thrive and use the personal, emotional, social and physical skills they learn and apply them in other areas of their lives.

LNSC has associate members, parents of players, who elect a representative from each team to serve as voting member. Individuals without a player affiliation and businesses pay an annual fee to be voting members. The voting membership meets in May set Strategic Direction and to elect a Board of Directors.
The Board meets monthly. The Board is responsible for developing the Business Plan, approving objectives, strategies and funding to support LNSC Mission and adopting policies and procedures to assure operations comply with good business practices in accordance with its bylaws.
Within the Board of Directors is an Executive Committee who serve as the officers of the 501© 3 and oversees the day to day operation in accordance with the approved plans and with the consent of the Board.
The staff is responsible for providing the leadership, instruction and training to support the development of the players, coaches and parents associated LNSC soccer programs. The staff includes the Director of Operations, Director of Soccer, Director of Instruction, Directors of Coaching and our Coaches.
LNSC Social Responsibility
- Lake Norman Soccer Club provides financial assistance for players who can not meet the financial obligations required to play.
- The Club donates money and resources to area schools to assist them in the improving their facilities and athletic programs.
- The Club provides clinics and demonstrations to other organizations dedicated to the development of underprivileged and challenged children.
LNSC Financing
LNSC relies on its members to fund the majority of the expenses of the club. Additional funds are generated through the sponsoring of the State Cup and regional tournaments. LNSC receives no public funding.
It is critical for the continued development and growth of the LNSC that private donations become a large part of the objectives to meet its
goals and the needs of the children in the Lake Norman area.
As a result, LNSC is reaching out to individual and corporate sponsors to assist in funding the needs of the club and its participants. The current needs are:
- Continuing to allow growth through the development of a professional staff.
- Continuing to attract and provide highly qualified coaching staff.
- Provide a complete program of licensing and continuing education of the coaching staff.
- Provide the equipment, uniforms, and facilities necessary to carry on the mission of the club.
- Provide additional amounts of scholarship funds for players who need financial assistance to participate.
- Provide for the maintenance and development of fields to support youth soccer.
Economic Impact of LNSC

LNSC Tournaments generated $650,000 of that $2.5 Million and brought in over 10,000 people to Iredell County each year.
